Wilfred Taylor Mills was born in California on August 26, 1912. Mills taught in the public schools of New York City before returning to southern California. He lived in Los Angeles in the 1930s and 1940s and painted small regionalist scenes and landscapes of the Sierra Madre. He died on June 16, 1988.
