Shirley Williamson (1875-1944)
Shirley Williamson was a painter and craftsman, born in New York City on May 25, 1875. Williamson studied with Arthur Dow at the Art Students League in New York and in Paris with Constant and Rodin. She was a resident of Palo Alto, Berkeley, and Carmel from 1913-40. After 1940 she was an art teacher at Palo Alto High School. She died there on March 30, 1944.
