Born 1952 in Los Angeles, Larry Cohen received his B.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara and his M.F.A. from University of California, Los Angeles in 1976. Since, he has exhibited in galleries throughout Los Angeles, San Francisco, and New York. His work can be found in the collections of The Oakland Museum of California, Laguna Beach Museum of Art, and the Transamerica Corporation. He was the winner of the 1996 Open Studios First Pacific Coast Competition. He is best known for his paintings that depict distant views of California cityscapes.
