Harry B. Wagoner
(1889-1950)
Harry B. Wagoner was a painter born in Rochester, Indiana on November 5, 1889. Wagoner studied art with Homer Pollock and in Paris. Returning from Europe, he lived in Chicago. In 1918, he was in El Paso, Texas for a year operating an art gallery representing artists of Santa Fe, Taos and El Paso. During the late 1920s he began spending winters in Southern California. He was a resident of Palm Springs, Beaumont, and Altadena. Well known as a painter of California and Arizona desert scenes, he was a resident of Phoenix for several years before his death there on April 9, 1950.
