Geza Kende was a portrait painter born in Budapest, Hungary, on January 5, 1889. He studied at the National Academy of Art in Budapest. In 1932, he settled in Los Angeles and maintained a studio-home at 1123 El Centro Avenue. Figure and genre painting were his specialties, but he was also known for his landscapes and portraits. Kende died in his home on September 2, 1952.
